우리는 이런 행사를 해마다 4월 수학과학경시대회와 11월 진학진로정보강좌에서 계속할 계획입니다.
특히 4월 수학과학경시대회에서는 학생들이 각 방에서 시험을 보는 동안, 부모님들은 이번과 같은 장소에서 똑 같은 행사를 갖습니다.
보다 훌륭한 행사로 발전시키기 위하여 여러분의 의견이 필요합니다.
준비, 진행, 마무리, 내용의 모든 면에서 의견, 비평, 제안, 조언을 toronto@akcse.org 로 보내 주십시오.

We really appreciate your coming to our Info Seminar for University and Career last Saturday, November 14.
We are going to continue this seminar at National Math and Sciece Competition (NMSC) in every April and Info Seminar for University Career (ISUC) in every November.
Especially, at the NMSC in April, while students take their exam in the rooms, parents will have the same event at the same hall.
To improve our event, we need the feedback from all of you.
Please send your opinion, criticism, suggestion, and advice for all of the area like preparation, process, finishing, and contents to toronto@akcse.org .
We will collect all of your feedback except vulgar language below, and try to reflect them at the next event.
You may write in Korean or English.

저는 11학년에 재학하고 있고 과학을 전공 하려고 하는 학생입니다. 광범위한 질문일 수 있겠으나 몇가지 여쭤볼까 합니다.
(1) Chemisry 혹은 Biology 를 전공하게되면 어떤 직업들을 가질수 있을까요? (일반적으로 알고 있는 의사를 제외한..) 
(2) Physics가 어려운데 어떻게 하면  잘할수 있을까요?  혹 도움이 될만한 책이 있다면 추천 부탁드립니다.
(3) 훌륭한 교수님들이 많이 계신데 어떤 노력과 과정을 거쳐 지금의 자리에 오시게 되었는지요?
    한 두분 정도 말씀 해주시면 감사하겠습니다.  대학 다니실때 복수 전공을 하셨는지, 그로인해 얻게되는 이점을 어떤것이
    있는지...등등
(4) 아무리 훌륭한 대학을 졸업한다해도 좋은 직업을 갖기란 참 어려운데요, 캐나다 에서의 유망한 직종은 어떤것이 있는지 
    알고 싶습니다.

Greetings,

Thank all of you for your contribution to the event yesterday.
I am sure that students and parents much appreciated your presence.
I think it was a success judged by the good turnout (350 plus) and audiences'
sincere participation.

While you have a fresh memory, we may reflect on the event and prepare for similar
events in the future. I would like ask you to share any of your comments,
suggestions, and areas of improvement for the event (it can be anything about
content, format, and other aspects like location, snacks, etc.).

(1)    It was great!  Excellent.

(2)    It was a very good idea to ask for help from the Korean Engineering Students
Association (KESA) at UofT. They did a fantastic job with great know-how in this
matter (they have been doing this intermally annually for many years).

(3)    The free Korea Times Daily news papers were great.

(4)    The donus timbits were not enough.  It could have been better with more coffee
stations.

(5)    The Brock University brochures were not enough. Some people were frustrated
when they found that they could not get one.

(6)    Some people were frustrated when they could not write all the statistics from
the shown ppt files. We could have announced in the beginning that the ppt files (in
pdf format) will be available in the website.

(7)    I personally think that we should entertain both the parents and students. The
students have two groups: English speaking and Korean speaking. The only viable
option is the in-situ interpretation.  Our students can do that.  I feel that the
Catholic Church has the equipment and facilities. If not, we had better buy this
system with 100 wireless headsets. To avoid the loss of headsets, we can get a
deposit of $10 or $20 for each headset.

Who knew that many people would be interested in Brock business programs? :) I
thought about 20-30 would be enough given that it is a multi-disciplinary event. I
have to admit though that I didn't expect more than 300 turnout.

If I can add one small point to Prof Park's great suggestions, I think it will be
even better if we can have a break-out session (i.e., four or five different tracks
in different rooms where we -- ideally faculty members and students from a number of
different universities -- can entertain some faculty as well as university specific
questions) after the plenary session.

But then, I think it was simply a great event given the time and resource
constraints. Thank you so much everyone for arranging this meaningful event.

향후 행사에서는 2-3개의 분야로 나누어 세션을 진행하는 것도 좋을듯 합니다. 교수님이 제안하셨던 것 같은데, 첫 30분은
전체세션으로 진학에 관한 총괄을 설명하고, 곧 분야별로 나뉘어 질의/응답을 하는 방식이 좋을듯 한데, 장소나 진행인력 및
resource 를 구하는 것이 풀어야 할 문제가 될것 같습니다.

It was a great event. I especially would like to add my thanks to the
organizers, including the students. Adding my two cents, it may be a
good idea to have a Q+A session after each presentation. People might
have questions about the specific points raised during the presenation.

Congratulations to all of the organizers, especially Chi-Guhn Lee. It
was an excellent event. It is a great idea to continue it in future
years.

It was also nice to see that there are so many Korean professors in
Ontario, and a pleasure to meet you all.

법대에 진학하고 싶은데 한인으로서 판사로 진출하는 것이 매우 어렵다고 들었습니다.  변호사로서 할 수 있는 일은 다양할 것으로 추측합니다. 법대진학과 전망에 대하여 알려 주십시오.

캐나다에서 의대과정에 대하여 설명하여 주십시오.  한인인 경우 어느 정도 비율로 의사가 될 수 있으며 미국에서 공부할 경우 (어떤 사람들은 미국에서 공부하면 캐나다에서 한 것보다 쉽다고 함) 정망 캐나다보다 쉬운지요.  또 영국에서 공부하고 캐나다에서 활동하디에는 문제가 없는지요.  어떤 경로로 의학공부를 해야하는지, 어느 정도 힘든지, 어느 정도 비율로 한인학생이 의사공부를 끝까지 하는지 알고 싶습니다.

장차 의사가 되고 싶어서 U of Toronto 에서 life Science 를 전공하고 싶은데, U of T는 학부성적을 잘 받기 어려워 좀 더 쉬운 학교에서 학점을 잘 받아서, 나중에 대학원을 U of T 로 가는 것이 더 낫다는 이야기를 들었습니다.  그런지요?  출신학교에 따른 가산점이 있는지 궁금합니다.

자신에게 맞는 전공을 선택하기 위하여 가장 고민하여야 할 사항은 무엇입니까?

Dentistry 를 공부하기 위한 학부과정의 학과는 어떤 종유가 있으며 다른 학교에 비해 U of Western Ontario 의 장점은 어떤 점입니까?  Science 학부의 고등학교 요구점수는 I.B. 학점으로는 몇 점 정도 받아야 입학이 가능한지요?  학부졸업 후 Dentistry 과정에 입학하는 비율은 어느 정도입니까?
